Abby got in her first "major" trouble last night. She has always been a good girl in the bathtub. She sits and plays with her toys. Most of the time whoever is watching her sits on the floor and reads a book. So, when I was working out last night and Chuck had to step away from the tub for a minute, we didn't think anything about it. We could hear her talking and singing, so we knew she wasn't drowning or anything. After about 1 minute, we hear, "I dropped my cup." Chuck went in and there was water EVERYWHERE!!!!! She had been taking cups full and pouring them on the floor. There was water about a 1/2" deep on the bathroom floor. It had spilled out into the hallway and had soaked under the wall into her closet, so the carpet was wet too. How she did that so fast, we still can't figure out. We had to completely empty everything on the floor of her closet. Chuck started the clean up process while I got her out of the tub and got her dressed. She lost all of her tub toys for a week and she had to "help" us clean up (which really was more of a hindrance, but she needed to learn). We had fans on all night and think we got the carpet dried out.
We still can't believe that she did this! It's funny now that it's over, but last night we were both so frustrated!!!! So, note to self: Never trust a 2 year old alone, not even for a second.

too funny. I remember my sister's kids doing that all the time. My dad would get so mad b/c it was when we were all living with my parents. I appreciate the way you handled it. Such patience!!
Hope Alex doesn't learn that one.
