Museum continued
Abby and Alyce were mesmerized by the turtle tank. That's right, we drove about 90 miles for the girls to see some turtles... :)
They had an AWESOME tree area. You could climb and slide and they had nets everywhere. In about 3 years the girls will love it, but right now, they were scared half to death that they were going to fall through the nets. They kept putting their hands in, and that's about as far as they would get.

Let's ride!

Children's museum
So, I'm only about a month behind...I took the kids to the Cicinnati Children's Museum over Spring Break. It was a blast! I highly recommend it to anyone with kids under about 10 or so. It made Sarah and I wish we were kids again so we could play with some of this stuff! The ball room was so much fun. There were about 10 different ways to get balls to this huge compartment at the top of the room. After it got full enough an alarm would sound and all the balls would fall out of the bin. Everyone loved it, except Caleb-he wasn't too thrilled..

Easter morning
Of course, Easter is about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, raising from the dead, and thus erasing all of our sins so that we can live in heaven with him. Praise the Lord that he did that for us-and if you're reading this blog and don't know exactly what I'm talking about, call us and we'll talk. :)
But, a distant second is that we get to dress our kiddos in the cutest clothes we can find. But what to do when you buy the best spring clothes you can find and it is in the 40's outside? Put a sweater on them and take them out anyway, of course! :)
The Easter bunny brought Abby a recorder. Blast that Easter bunny,
Easter egg hunt
Every year our church has an Easter Egg hunt, two of the last three years it's been inside because it's been too cold. It doesn't seem to matter, eggs are eggs, and candy is candy, regardless if it's hid inside or outside. We hid eggs in the sanctuary for the little kids, and downstairs for the big kids. They had SO much fun!
Sharing the easter story and plan of salvation.

Abby finding eggs. She still didn't quite get it this year. She wanted to open every egg and eat the candy as she got it. We had to keep forcing her to move on and find more eggs. She didn't quite get that more eggs=more candy. That's really okay with us. What parent wants more candy in the house?
Caleb getting into the action.
Abby enjoying the fruits of her labor.
Abby's face when we told her she couldn't eat any more candy at that time...
Almost old...
I thought 30 was when you turned old...However, Chuck proves at 29 that you already need help blowing out your candles. Just so everyone knows, Chuck also got cookies from Max and Erma's, but we got him this cake so he'd have candles to blow out. He got a Swiss Army knife (the hugest monstrosity I've ever seen), an IPOD docking station (that doesn't work and had to be sent back...) and a small refrigerator because someone keeps stealing his food and drinks at work (how rude!) :)

SNOW DAY!!!!!
We finally got a snow worth playing in!!!! It was so exciting to wake up to 5 inches of snow. We waited until Caleb went down for his morning nap and then Chuck and Abby got wrapped up and went to the neighbors house for some fun. Alyce, Abby, Benjamin, and Emily played outside for about 45 minutes or so. Sarah and Christina brought them in to get them warmed up and they actually cried when they were told they were going back outside! They may be a bit too young for the joys of getting frozen down to the bone.
